Leader of the Party of Communists Vladimir Voronin believes that "after the July 11 elections, anti-state activists came to power again, people with dual citizenship, far from the concepts of "creation", "economy", or "welfare of people."
He stated this on Saturday at the PCRM Central Committee's Plenum, summing up the results of the party's participation in the parliamentary elections,
infotag.md reports.
According to Voronin, the victory of "the anti-statesmen would have been impossible if there were no serious forces behind them, primarily the United States and its allies in the European Union."
"The power which the rightists got will result in a waste of time for the republic's development because the program of this government does not contain anything but an orientation towards external assistance. It will never be aimed at developing, strengthening independence, neutrality and improving the living conditions of our citizens. It is designed not to help the country, but support this government. That is why it is safe to say that this power is temporary, because it does not rely on the support of the Moldovan society," the PCRM leader said in a speech published on the party's website.
Speaking about the current goals for the party, Voronin stressed that "the PCRM as a whole, its regional and primary structures, should be mobilized to resist the regime."
"The whole country, from the center to the district, up to the mayor's office, should be seized with this resistance. Protest pickets - large and small, rallies and demonstrations at all levels, and not only in the center - on any of the regime's anti-popular, anti-social reason should firmly become part of district committees and primary organizations' agenda", the communist leader believes.
He called those who did not participate in the elections "a serious reserve for the Red Bloc."
"Let's not forget that the country has local elections ahead. We must do everything possible not to give the regime power on the ground. Local authorities are the closest to common people and should not go into the hands of national traitors who are ready to sell Moldova for a dollar into the political and economic slavery contrary to the interests of its citizens. It is necessary to prepare now, and not on the last day ... The main thing is to constantly poke your nose into local problems using the examples of local life: now coal becomes more expensive, then tariffs "fly into space", then they do not want to pay an adequate price for meat from producers, then the purchase price of milk does not grow together with the price on the supermarket shelf, then cheap medicines have disappeared, but the rest have got up, then the minibus routes to the regional center have become too expensive," Voronin said.
According to him, "we witness a new stage of the struggle against the predatory power wrapped up in unionism and national betrayal."
