On Friday, July 30, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu signed a decree on the nomination of Natalia Gavrilita for Prime Minister. The head of state signed the document after consultations with parliamentary factions. “Today, after consulting with parliamentary factions, I signed a decree on the nomination of Natalia Gavrilita for the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova. Mrs. Gavrilita has two weeks to form a team and develop a management program, which will be presented to the Parliament. I am absolutely sure that the proposed Prime Minister will come with an worthy and professional team and that in a maximum of two weeks there will be a new government of the Republic of Moldova. This will mark a new beginning for the country. People expect changes for the better, and this requires decisive action and competent decisions, in which the interests of the people are put in the first place,” Maya Sandu said. Recall that today the Presidency building held consultations of the head state with parliamentary factions. Note that Natalia Gavrilita is a candidate from the parliamentary faction of the Action and Solidarity Party for the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova. Representatives of the "Shor" faction declared their readiness to support the PAS candidate. The communists and socialists bloc did not come to the consultation with Sandu.
