Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Chisinau Pascal Le Deunff, whose mission in our country has been completed. Speaker Igor Grosu thanked the diplomat for his long-standing support to our country and welcomed the involvement of the French state, including through investment projects that contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova, moldpres.md reports, citing the parliament's public relations department. In this context, the recent decision of the French Development Agency to support projects in three priority areas for Moldova was mentioned: reforestation and irrigation, water supply and sewerage systems modernization, electricity interconnection and energy efficiency of buildings. “We highly appreciate the relations between our countries and will support actions aimed at promoting economic and social development for the benefit of all citizens,” said Igor Grosu. During the meeting, the discussions also focused on the reform program in our country, which remains a priority for the Chisinau authorities. These include respect for the rule of law, justice reform, the fight against corruption and respect for human rights. Igor Grosu confirmed that the new parliament will accelerate the reform agenda it has proposed, so as to advance our economic relations and facilitate the activities of French companies that want to invest in the Republic of Moldova.
