Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu said that the current gas price is high for citizens, but if Moldova had not reached an agreement with Gazprom, the tariff could have been 23 lei per cubic meter.
“Now we are talking about a tariff that is high for the population. But if we had not reached an agreement, the tariff would have been 23 lei. We have a tariff of 11 lei, which, I repeat once again, is an extremely high tariff in the conditions of poverty in which our country is located, so we have initiated a package of assistance for people. This is a very consistent package”, Spinu said on the broadcast on JurnalTV.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in the near future, the representatives of the state will do everything possible to ensure that Moldova never finds itself in such a crisis again.
It should be noted that the tariff for natural gas in the bills for household consumers will be 11.08 lei per cubic meter, not 10.26 lei. The reason is the value added tax, which was not included in the price approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has approved regulated prices for the supply of natural gas for 2021. Thus, household consumers will pay 10.26 lei per cubic meter compared to 4.3 lei as they paid earlier. This is the price without value added tax.
The Moldovagaz project at regulated prices for the supply of natural gas for 2021 was approved by ANRE unanimously without any changes.
