The Chairman of the Communist Party, MP Vladimir Voronin discussed the situation in the country with the new EU Ambassador to Moldova Janis Mazeiks.
Voronin, in particular, shared his vision of the political situation in Moldova, informed about the parliamentary activities of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, expressed his opinion on the progress of the Transdniestrian settlement, infotag.md reports.
According to him, “no positive trend in handling economic and social issues, as well as in the qualitative and full implementation of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU is a consequence of the new government’s unprofessionalism.”
“The same applies to the “gas issue”, the discriminatory Law on pension reform, as well as the deliberate promotion to the masses of the idea of the futility of Moldova’s existence as an independent state,” the ex-president said.
He also noted that “the fight against corruption so vocally advertised by the authorities is actually unsystematic and selective, and the case of the theft of a billion remained as it was.”
