U.S. Ambassador Kent Doyle Logsdon has arrived in Moldova. On the first day, the embassy greeted the Ambassador and his wife according to Moldovan tradition – with bread and salt and Moldovan wine.
“He is looking forward to meeting many people across this beautiful country and hopes to continue strengthening the partnership between our countries,” the US Embassy said.
Recall that Logsdon was replaced by Ambassador Derek Hogan, who had held the post since October 2018.
Logsdon previously worked at the US State Department as director of the Office of Russian Affairs, as well as an adviser on political issues in Kiev. In addition, he worked in diplomatic missions in Thailand, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Germany. He speaks Russian, Ukrainian, Thai and German.
