Citizens of Moldova who are on the territory of Ukraine are recommended to decide whether it is appropriate to continue staying in this country.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) informs Moldovan citizens who are on the territory of, transit through or intend to visit Ukraine, that in the context of the developments in the security situation, as well as statements by some airlines about the suspension of flights to/from Ukraine, it is recommended to refrain from non-essential trips, and those who are on the territory of Ukraine should assess the need to stay in the country,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Moldovan citizens avoid any trips to the eastern Ukraine and adjust their travel plans depending on the security situation in the region and the statements of the Ukrainian authorities.
“We urge Moldovan citizens to be careful when planning trips and avoid places where events with a large number of people take place. It is also important to check the availability of valid travel documents and the financial means necessary to leave the country if necessary,” the statement says.
