Today, on February 28, a meeting on economic issues related to Western sanctions was held in the Kremlin.
During the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western community an “empire of lies”.
“I want to discuss with you the sanctions that the Western community, or as I called it in my speech, the empire of lies, is trying to implement against Russia,” the Kremlin press service quoted the president as saying.
Recall that since February 28, the West has imposed new sanctions against Russia because of the situation in Ukraine. These sanctions are aimed at freezing the assets of the Central Bank of Russia and disconnecting from the international system for transmitting information and making payments – SWIFT.
