Former Prime Minister Ion Chicu responded to Igor Grosu’s claims that the opposition lacks the courage to condemn the war.
“Actually, we do have the courage... The only thing is that, unlike you, we first of all condemn the war and the genocide that your incompetent and corrupt group is committing against its own people. Mr. Grosu, this winter you will kill more people in Moldova than the war is killing in Ukraine,” Chicu said.
The politician stressed that it will take a long time to restore the country.
“Many innocent citizens who fell for your disgusting lies and propaganda will die of cold and hunger. Because of your incompetence, theft and betrayal, it will take Moldova many years of hard work to rebuild the country,” Chicu added.
The former prime minister stressed that the opposition had condemned the war in Ukraine and would call on the parties for peace.
“As for the war in Ukraine, we condemned it long ago and will continue to condemn it. We have called and will continue to call on all the parties for peace. We, like all normal people, value every human life, both the people in Kyiv and those who die every day on the streets of Donetsk. And remember, Grosu, it is impossible to feed the country only with an idiotic show in a bulletproof vest,” Chicu wrote.
