At present even in conditions of change of the contractual cost formula the price for natural gas supply to the final consumers cannot be reduced. This statement was made by Chairman of the Board of Directors of Moldovagaz JSC Vadim Ceban in his Telegram-channel. He stated that there are two reasons for this. “In its calculations, the regulator proceeded from an average annual tariff of $ 926.94 per thousand cubic meters of natural gas, which is $ 146.8 less than the projected purchase price in October ($ 1073.73 per thousand cubic meters). In November, this difference will be $96.8, with the forecasted price of $ 1023.7 per thousand cubic meters,” explained the head of Moldovagaz. According to his statement, the second reason is a consequence of the first one and consists in the tariff deviations accumulated by now. “Based on the provisions of the Methodology on calculation, approval and application of regulated prices and tariffs for natural gas supply, ANRE has included 1,817.5 million lei in the tariff deviations accumulated by Moldovagaz JSC for January-September into the effective tariff from October 1. The adopted tariff allows not only to compensate expenses of the enterprise, but also to not accumulate new deviations, will inevitably leading to a new price increase for consumers,” Ceban concluded.
