PAS deputy Dumitru Alaiba said on his Facebook page that the UN General Assembly voted for a resolution demanding that Russia be held accountable for violating international law by invading Ukraine.
The resolution also calls for the payment of reparations and war losses. Moldova also voted in favor of the document, reports tv8.md
94 countries voted in favor, against – 14, abstained – 73.
“Our country voted in favor. We are in step with the civilized world. Only two countries in Europe did not vote for it: Belarus (against) and Serbia (abstained).
And I once again imagined for a moment a nightmare in which the Kremlin thieves, if they were in power now, would vote against freedom and for war crimes, and we would not wash off this shame for several generations, as it would be with the Republic of Belarus,” Alaiba wrote.
