External funding offered by the Federal Republic of Germany in the form of a budget support grant of 40 million euros has been transferred to the account of the Ministry of Finance.
This financial support is intended for state programs to compensate increases in energy costs for vulnerable groups, reports agora.md.
The funding will support Moldova in the implementation of the “Ajutor la contor” state program.
Thus, the Moldovan population will be compensated in the energy bill during the cold season from November 2022 to March 2023 from the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund.
The financing agreement to promote energy security of vulnerable groups was signed between the KfW German Development Bank and the Republic of Moldova represented by the Ministry of Finance in Chisinau on November 18.
