At a government meeting yesterday, the extension of the state of emergency in our country for 60 days was approved.
Former Prime Minister Ion Chicu criticized the сabinet’s decision.
“The real purpose of maintaining the state of emergency is to steal public money. The logic of the PAS group is simple - if we were left unpunished for stealing a billion in 2014, then we can get away with it this time too,” Chicu said.
Speaking about energy security issues and gas purchases, Chicu expressed bewilderment over the fact that the processes are completely non-transparent. The former Prime Minister noted that when he was the head of the government team, and even before him, Moldova had no problems with gas, omniapres.md reports.
“The country had no need to borrow 300 million euros from the EBRD. You can imagine what the lady with the placinta (Maia Sandu) would have said if I had done that.
If we had borrowed 300 million euros from the EBRD, bought gas at a price we had not informed of and set the tariff at 29 lei per cubic meter, can you imagine what kind of placintas this lady would have baked on TV?”
Energy security is the responsibility of those elected by the citizens to lead the country. This whole affair with the firewood website is to show Moldovans that the government cares about them.
You have to understand that firewood, coal, dung, etc. are “yellow solutions” for a very short period of time,” Chicu said.
