The Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking enhanced security measures on the border with Moldova and fortifications are being built, the spokesman for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, has said. “There is a segment like Transdniestria on the border with Moldova, since the full-scale invasion the defense forces have strengthened this direction, there is not only strengthening of control, but also construction of engineering and fortification facilities,” he said, reports focus.ua. According to the Ukrainian State Border Service spokesman, special attention is paid to the borders with Belarus and Moldova. “Because of the insidiousness of the enemy, we understand that there can be provocations at any moment. We must be ready for anything,” Demchenko added. Yesterday, February 27, according to the Office of Civil Aviation of Moldova, Wizz Air made a “difficult but rational decision” to suspend all flights to/from Chisinau as of March 14. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have said whether to expect a Russian landing in Transdniestria.
