The Moldovan Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, together with the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of Romania, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The agreement is aimed at developing cooperation framework for the transfer of best practices and knowledge in cloud computing and new technologies, the development of digital solutions and the implementation of joint digital transformation projects. “Our efforts are focused on the digitization of services and the development of cyber infrastructure, providing a reliable digital space for individuals and businesses,” Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba said. Thus, the governments of Chisinau and Bucharest, supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS), will work together to leverage the global experience and digital solutions of AWS. According to the authorities, this will help facilitate the development of joint Romanian and Moldovan initiatives related to the digital transformation of the two countries, and increase the level of cybersecurity.
