Farmers will protest non-stop from June 7 to 30 at the Great National Assembly Square. This was announced by the Force of Farmers Association, which submitted a preliminary application to the Chisinau City Hall.
According to the document signed by the Association’s executive director Alexandr Slusari, about 1,000 people with about 300 pieces of agricultural machinery are expected to attend the protest. Farmers are unhappy with the official approach to the precarious situation for Moldovan farmers. Previously, they called for support from the authorities in the face of rising fuel prices, sounded the alarm about late payments of subsidies, and also asked for state support due to large grain imports from Ukraine.
