When the price on the market went up, we had no way out, we had to buy at a higher price, but we provided compensation, and then I facilitated because I went to all kinds of partners and asked them to give us money, and in the first winter we provided a compensation of 3 billion lei, in the second winter a compensation of 5 billion lei. This is a huge amount of money. After all, we do not produce natural gas, and we cannot influence the price in any way. The regulator should adjust prices and ensure that there is no abuse,” Maia Sandu said.
