The head of state expressed hope that solutions would be found to the situation, adding that the authorities and farmers' representatives are in a dialogue.
“I understand that there is an ongoing dialogue between the government and representatives of farmers, representatives of associations who take to the streets and protest. I hope that some solutions will be found that will at least partially meet expectations, but at the same time we will take into account the real capabilities of the state. We must continue discussions,” said Maia Sandu.
Agrarians, dissatisfied with the situation in agriculture, held a protest in the Great National Assembly Square. They surrounded the government building with their machinery and honked continuously for a long time.
