Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin agreed on the Russian President’s visit to Turkey, RIA Novosti reports, citing the statement of the Turkish leader’s office.
“President Erdogan held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the conversation, the leaders reached an agreement on Putin’s visit to Turkey,” the statement says.
The date of the visit has not been determined yet. TASS reports that the agreement was reached in the telephone talks during which the two leaders discussed the grain deal.
The planned telephone conversation between the Russian and Turkish Presidents took place on 29 July. Erdogan repeatedly expressed his desire to talk to his Russian counterpart and discuss, among other things, the grain deal.
