Farmers Resume Protests: They Will Bring Agricultural Machinery to Chisinau

The Forța Fermierilor Association once again expresses its dissatisfaction with the government’s actions regarding the situation in agriculture. In this regard, the farmers issued a press release in which they said that immediately after the harvesting of crops is finished, they will continue the protests. “Our organization determined by the decision of the council to resume protests immediately after the harvesting of the second group of crops, moving farmers with farming equipment to the capital,” the press release said. According to them, the sum of 200 million lei recently allocated to compensate the first group is 6 times less than the amount requested from the European Union. “This money will reach only a part of the farmers, with a big delay. All debts on last year’s subsidies have not been paid yet,” the farmers say.
