Today the Russian Foreign Ministry has summoned Moldova’s attorney in Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS. According to the Russian news agency, the reason was the expulsion of Sputnik Moldova’s head, Vitaly Denisov, from Moldova. Denisov has been expelled from Moldova this morning on suspicion of interfering in the country’s internal affairs. Now he is banned from entering our country for 10 years. Moscow has sharply criticized this decision by the Moldovan authorities. Government spokesman Daniel Voda said after today’s cabinet meeting that the head of Sputnik Moldova was part of an institution that was “constantly engaged in information attacks”. Last February, the Information and Security Service blocked the sputnik.md website “for promoting the interests of the Russian Federation”, but it was still available on several platforms.
