U.S. State Department Representative to Arrive in Chisinau

James P. Rubin, Special Envoy of the U.S. State Department and Coordinator of the U.S. Center for Global Engagement, will visit Moldova and Latvia on 18-21 September. According to the U.S. State Department press office, Special Envoy James Rubin will meet with representatives of the host governments in Chisinau and Riga to strengthen partnerships to counter disinformation initiatives. He will also meet with representatives of civil society and independent media to discuss their role in countering the information manipulation by foreign governments and their attempts to use disinformation to undermine democracy and national security.
