The National Army will receive two more Piranha armored personnel carriers from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The military vehicles will arrive in Moldova on Tuesday, 17 October this year. The Piranha armored vehicles are received in the context of the National Army’s capacities’ modernization and on the basis of an agreement signed between the Defense Ministry and the German side in October 2021. The armored personnel carriers are used in the process of training the military that will be involved in international peacekeeping missions. It is worth to mention that the first batch of Piranha arrived in Moldova in January this year. The batch included a total of 19 Piranha-3 armored personnel carriers.
