The Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has approved President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decrees on extending martial law and general mobilization. They will be extended on 16 November for another 90 days - until 14 February 2024. This is reported on the website of the Rada. In 2024 Ukraine should hold presidential elections. However, since February 2022 there are legal grounds not to hold them just because of martial law. Volodymyr Zelensky recently said that “it is not the right time” to hold the presidential elections.
