More than a Dozen Ex-Officials From Across the Prut Hold High Government Posts in Moldova

The appointment in December of former Romanian Finance Minister Anca Dragu as the head of the National Bank of Moldova has aroused interest not only in Moldova, but also in her country of origin. This urged the Romanian media to make a review of other “transfers” of former Romanian officials who moved to work across the Prut. He is a member of the team of EU High Level Advisors to Moldova. Alexandru Sandulescu is a consultant to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. He was Director General of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) in Romania. Victor Giosan - is a member of the Prime Minister’s advisory team and is helping to reform local public administration. Dragos Ciuparu - expert in public administration and public policy development in Romania. Participates in the coordination of reforms at the Government level. Victor Wili Apreutesei is an expert in internal security, consultant to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Chisinau. He was a quaestor of the Romanian police. Irina Alexe is an EU expert at the level of the Government of the Republic of Moldova. In Romania she was Romanian Interior Ministry Secretary. Nicolae Grigore is an advisor to the National Bank of Moldova and an expert in prudential supervision and anti-money laundering. He previously worked at the National Bank of Romania.
