Interior Minister Adrian Efros said that the accident with the attempted arson attack on the Russian embassy is analyzed along with the incident in Tiraspol involving a helicopter that was allegedly hit by a kamikaze drone.
He also emphasized that the helicopter incident in Tiraspol did not really happen and that it was just a video montage, zdg.md reported.
“It was part of a disinformation campaign designed to create panic, fear and instability among citizens. This is a montage, there was no explosion. Specialists will give more details. But it was part of a disinformation campaign and an attempt to provoke instability,” said Minister Adrian Efros.
As for the man who was detained on Sunday, 17 March, after he threw Molotov cocktails into the courtyard of the Russian embassy in Chisinau during the presidential election, Efros said he might be an instigator.
“He has been detained. Investigation is on the way. We want to find out causes of the accident: whether it was the personal will of this man or whether it was part of a provocation to show the vulnerabilities of the official state institutions. It is likely that this case was not spontaneous but planned. But we are investigating and will give details later,” said Adrian Efros.
