The European Union intends to start formal accession talks with Moldova and Ukraine on 25 June.
The publication Politico reports this, citing five diplomats. ‘The bloc intends to start formal accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova as early as 25 June, which is the date of the European Council summit,’ the statement on Politico website says.
The EU summit on 14 December 2024 decided to launch negotiations on future EU membership with Moldova and Ukraine.
