The European Commission supports the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s and Moldova’s accession to the EU. This was reported by Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak on Twitter.
“As expected, the European Commission confirms that Ukraine and Moldova have fully complied with all steps to start negotiations,” Jozwiak wrote.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also confirmed that the European Commission supports the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
Prime Minister added that Ukraine is grateful for the positive assessment of its European integration progress.
According to him, Ukraine now expects its European partners to take the next step - the start of negotiations on EU membership as early as this month.
