President Maia Sandu addressed the citizens who voted for Renato Usatii in the first round of elections, thanking them for their participation in the vote.
In a video message posted on Facebook, the head of state emphasized the negative impact of vote stealing on the electoral process, noting that if these frauds had not occurred, Usatii could have become her opponent, deschide.md reported.
“Thank you for voting and believing in the power of the vote. Unfortunately, vote stealing has affected us all. If the votes had not been stolen, my opponent today would probably have been Renato Usatii.
Dear supporters of Renato Usatii, I know you are dissatisfied. But now let’s unite and impede the dirty regime, which fights dirty, to return to power. So that your votes are respected, so that the fate of the country is decided by Moldovans’ votes and not by dirty money,” Maia Sandu said.
Recall that Renato Usatii, who came third in the first round of the presidential election, refused to support any of the candidates in the second round.
