Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu accused some state bodies of not making efforts to fight electoral corruption.
He said that ‘in this election campaign I saw very well which institutions worked and which were more of a spectator,” ziua.md reported.
Speaking about the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, Grosu said that he “does not want to discuss the issue related to the headquarters of this institution anymore” and added that “when you want to work, you work.”
“We have seen how some institutions have behaved during the election period or before the election period. They have manifested themselves in the situations, with the conditions, with the instruments, with the people, with the laws. Some institutions have done their job, I mean the Interior Ministry, the NAC, the SIS. And others haven’t. And you cannot say that some live in luxury and have everything, I mean financial, human, logistical resources, etc. No! It is about the will. Those who wanted to work realized that you have to work for this country with the tools you have. You don’t have all expenses paid,” Grosu stated.
Asked about Veronica Dragalin’s possible resignation, Grosu said:
“SCP has to speak up. I have had an opinion about the operation of this establishment and the manager of this establishment for a long time! A long time ago! With all the support, all the openness, let’s just not go back to the subject of the office. When you want to work, you work. It doesn’t matter what you have, what you don’t have. The most valuable thing during this whole period, I think, apart from tables, chairs and pencils, was the unconditional support,” Igor Grosu said.
