Russian gas corporation PJSC Gazprom has announced its readiness to supply gas for both banks of the Dniester river from 1 January 2025 with delivery to the Russian-Ukrainian border.
A letter sent by the acting head of Moldovagaz company, Vadim Ceban, to the Moldovan Energy Ministry in mid-October proves it. The text of the letter was published on his Facebook page on Thursday by journalist Alex Cozer, infotag.md reported.
In his letter, Ceban informs the ministry that in the first decade of October, a Moldovagaz delegation visited St. Petersburg, where it held talks with Gazprom’s management. The delegation also included the general director of Tiraspoltransgaz - Transnistria, Alexander Martynov.
“As a result of the discussion, PJSC Gazprom declared its readiness to supply natural gas for JSC Moldovagaz on the border of the Russian Federation with Ukraine in the amount of 294 million cubic meters in the first quarter of 2025 for the right bank of the Dniester, as well as 2.05 billion cubic meters of gas for the left bank of the Dniester for the whole of 2025,” the letter said.
Vadim Ceban also informs the ministry that negotiations on the issue of transporting gas through the territory of Ukraine with representatives of companies involved in gas transport in Ukraine and Moldova are planned.
