Chicu: Why Increase Teachers’ Salaries when Doubling Manole’s Pension Is Enough to Retain Power

This was the message posted on social media by former Prime Minister Ion Chicu. The Trade Union Federation of Education and Science of the Republic of Moldova (FSEȘ) decided to organize protests. The reason for the dissatisfaction was the insufficient increase in salaries included in the draft state budget for 2025, actualitati.md reported. At the same time, following the recent substantial increase in salaries, judges of the Constitutional Court will now be granted exemptions with regard to pensions. At the next Government meeting, a draft law providing for a new procedure for calculating pensions for CC judges will be considered.
