According to him, Chisinau promised to supply Tiraspol with gas at the end of 2024, but then Moldova changed its mind.
The head of breakaway Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, said in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel that there was gas in the region only for two days, gazeta.ru reported.
In addition, Krasnoselsky claimed that Transnistria has found a Moldovan intermediary company, Natural Gaz D.C.
“They made it clear to us: you can take gas anywhere, any way you want, for money, please, we will supply this gas to you <...> we met just fierce resistance of the Moldovan authorities and unwillingness to supply gas to Transnistria through this company. Some legal norms were cited, although all this does not correspond to reality,” Krasnoselsky said.
The Transnistrian head stressed that there is literally only a couple of days’ worth of gas left “in the pipe” and it would be rather difficult without it. At the same time, Chisinau is delaying gas supplies for political reasons, Krasnoselsky said.
