Mark Tkaciuk, a member of the executive committee of the Civic Congress party, said that decisions in the bloc are made on the basis of the consent of all participants. But when asked whether the leader would be announced, he said that “for sure it will happen”. “The decision has been made. All issues in our bloc are adopted by consensus. I can only say one thing that all the colleagues with whom I have to interact are extremely prepared people, each of the bloc is capable of handling the functions of a political leader. How we make decisions is important, when decisions are made by consensus, there is a desire to hear each other. (...) Well, and then it will be a different story, we will have to name leaders,” Mark Tkaciuk said on the air of a programme on TV8. Asked whether there would still be a leader or not, the Citizens’ Congress chief said it is “for sure” and that the bloc will find a solution. Mark Tkaciuk said that before each conference, before signing the agreement and the statement about the bloc, political parties held their councils, including the Civic Congress. However, as far as “sensitive topics” are concerned, each member of the bloc retains its own position. “We are completely calm when someone from the bloc claims to write and speak Romanian. This is not where the dividing line is drawn,” Tkaciuk said. He also did not rule out that some political parties might join the bloc and others might leave it. “Any political association cannot be a closed joint-stock company. And if this bloc has interesting allies that will strengthen us, we will solve this issue by consensus. We are making great efforts to show the society our intelligence and our ability to hear each other,” Tkaciuk summarized. The Alternativa bloc was created in Moldova on 31 January. It was created by 4 politicians: Mayor Ion Ceban (MAN party), Ion Chicu (PDCM party), Mark Tcaciuk (Civic Congress party) and ex-presidential candidate Alexandr Stoianoglo.
