Ceban: We Will Take Part in May 9 Events at the Eternity Memorial Complex and in European Village

This year, the Chisinau Mayor’s Office is also a partner of the events on 9 May, when Victory Day and Europe Day are celebrated in the capital. This was announced by the General Mayor Ion Cheban at today’s meeting of municipal services. He noted that restoration work is underway at the Eternity Memorial Complex, which was handed over to the municipality in a deplorable state. “We have conducted restoration and are continuing to work so that on May 9 the territory will be ready for the planned events. My team and I will participate in these events. We will also be present at the Grand National Assembly Square in the European Village,” Ion Ceban said. The head of the capital also added that Chisinau City Hall has the largest portfolio of projects implemented using various EU financial instruments: energy efficiency, roads, water supply and sewerage, rehabilitation of the Bic River, waste management and many other infrastructure or social projects. “We urge everyone who will celebrate May 9 to do it peacefully, with respect for all other citizens. It is necessary to respect the opinion of every person,” Ion Ceban emphasized.
