Energocom Signed Contract to Purchase Gas from the Neptun Deep Field

Energocom will buy gas from Romanian company Neptun Deep Petrom from 2027. The relevant contract was signed for a three-year term. The value of the deal is classified, but it is said to be linked to the market price with a discount. Gas supplies from Neptun Deep will cover 25% of the needs of the right-bank part of Moldova, TVR Moldova sources said. Moldovan Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu earlier said on the programme Punctul pe Azi that the republic is interested in gas from the Neptun Deep field. “At the moment, I can say that negotiations are underway with Moldovan companies to buy natural gas from Neptun Deep, when it becomes available,” Junghietu emphasized, noting the good relations between the Moldovan and Romanian authorities, including in the energy sector.
