Home / Politics / Gherman: Politicians Who Will Run on PAS Lists Will Leave Their Parties
The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) is ready to include politicians from other pro-European parties in its lists, but they will have to renounce the membership in their political formations, said PAS Vice-Chair Doina Gherman.
According to her, this is due to the fact that PAS does not intend to create an electoral bloc, and the CEC is closely monitoring the situation to prevent the emergence of “veiled blocs”, reports deschide.md.
In this context, Doina Gherman noted that PAS has been negotiating with the “Together” bloc for several weeks.
“We are awaiting a final decision, especially from our colleagues at the DA platform. They will be holding a political council meeting in the near future, where a decision will be made. We also respect the refusals from the LOC and the Party of Change. Our proposal remains valid.
Of course, we will strictly comply with the law. In accordance with all provisions of the Electoral Code, we will assume our obligations and comply with all criteria. Now it is important to wait for our colleagues’ decision so that we can move on to technical negotiations. The invitation concerns inclusion in the PAS list, as is the case with other representatives,” Gherman said on the Open Dialogue programme.
She emphasized that PAS would do everything possible to maintain a pro-European parliamentary majority after the elections scheduled for 28 September.
