Home / Economy / Grosu on Lukoil’s Assets: Sell Them to Us
Following the Energy Minister’s statement on buying Lukoil’s warehouse it owns at the airport in light of U.S. sanctions, Igor Grosu said that the authorities are still waiting for the company’s response.
“I know that we are now waiting for Lukoil’s answer, after which we will decide. The minister knows the details. Let them sell it to us, and we will secure permission to purchase this asset,” protv.md reports.
Grosu further recalled that the airport began to generate income after being returned to state ownership.
The authorities are negotiating with Lukoil after an offer was made to purchase the company’s infrastructure at Chisinau Airport, and a response is expected in the coming days. Airport officials say that several scenarios are being considered to ensure uninterrupted supply of aviation fuel after November 21.
Lukoil maintains a monopoly on the aviation fuel market in Moldova.
