Home / Economy / Energocom to Purchase Equipment, Vehicles and Services Worth Nearly 100 Million Lei
Energocom, Moldova’s state-owned gas supplier, plans procurements worth almost 100 million lei in 2026. This includes 30.5 million lei earmarked for software and licenses, and 2.2 million lei for vehicles.
This comes at a time when the same company has requested a 40% gas tariff increase from the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE). Starting in September, consumers could pay nearly 6 lei more per cubic meter, Radio Moldova reports.
The largest sum in the procurement plan is reserved for software packages and licenses — 30.5 million lei, or nearly a third of the total value.
The company also plans to spend another 19 million lei on banking services and 4.3 million lei on computer equipment.
Vehicles account for 2.2 million lei in the plan, while furniture accounts for 1.25 million lei.
The list also includes 675,000 lei for fuel, 326,000 lei for advertising and decorative materials, 300,000 lei for hotel services during business trips, 250,000 lei for representational expenses, and 181,000 lei for security equipment.
Energocom explains that purchases of vehicles, computers, furniture or software are not included in the tariff in full in the year of acquisition, but are spread out over several years.
The company also notes that consumer tariffs are approved by ANRE. The procedure for reflecting the company’s expenses in the regulated tariff is determined by a methodology approved by ANRE and does not depend on the total value of procurements planned for any given year.
