Interior Minister on Military Parade in Chisinau: “A Good Opportunity to Showcase Our Capabilities”

Despite the tense security situation in the region, the authorities in Chisinau consider it appropriate to hold a military parade on Independence Day. Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin said the event will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of Moldova’s security and law enforcement institutions, realitatea.md reports. “This event is being organized as part of the 35th anniversary of independence. This is Moldova’s history, and I believe it is a good opportunity to show the capabilities and capacities of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as other security institutions,” the minister said. The military parade will be held as part of events marking the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Moldova’s independence. Independence Day is celebrated annually on August 27.
