The state-owned railway company Moldova Railways has extended discounts on the transit of Ukrainian cargo through Moldova to large shipments of ferrous metals, exceeding 5,000 tons.
On the Novosavitskaya-Giurgiulesti route, the discount coefficient ranges from 0.5 to 0.8. The preferential tariff is valid until the end of 2026, logos-pres.md reports.
Since the middle of last month, the Moldovan railway carrier has also halved transit tariffs for Ukrainian rapeseed, legumes, flax, soybean and rapeseed oil, cement and slag, in addition to grain, according to several Telegram channels.
