During press conference after the talks with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte U.S. President Donald Trump told about discussing with EU countries an idea to build 9 – 11 ports to import LNG from U.S. and said about the EU readiness to pay for these ports. “We are already talking to the European Union about building anywhere from             9 to 11 ports, which they will pay for, so that we can ship our LNG over to Europe”, the White House press service quotes the U.S. president. The U.S. is putting pressure on the EU countries for the Russian pipeline Nord Stream 2 and threatens to impose sanctions on companies that cooperate with the project. Moscow believes that this is due to Washington’s desire to sell its more expensive gas to the EU. Source: Kommersant
