Dmitri Trenin: Russia Needs to Prepare for the Worst

Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center Dmitri Trenin gave a comment on information about imposing new package of US sanctions against Russia, which will come into force on August, 22. According to the expert, Russia needs to prepare for the worst: “Sanctions are the US weapon of choice in the hybrid war between the U.S. and Russia. They are not an instrument, but the policy itself. Russia will have to brace for more to come over next several years, prepare for the worst and push back where it can. Interesting times”, Trenin wrote in his Twitter.
