U.S. has imposed sanctions on China for collaboration with Rosoboronexport, in particular for the buying Russian jets Su-35 and S-400 missile system. Thus, China became the first country against which Washington took measures for cooperation with Russia. According to U.S. Department of State “the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act” (CAATSA) law imposes sanctions on China's Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Council and its head Li Shangfu. According to the representative of the U.S. Department of State China bought Russian Jets and Missiles in December 2017 and in January 2018, after the above-mentioned law entered into force. “Both these transactions, which took place after the CAATSA entry into force, military training and supplying were discussed between the department and Rosoboronexport, which is on the sanctions list”, TASS quotes him as saying. Sanctions imply a refusal to issue export licenses to the China’s Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Council, a ban on conducting operations with the U.S. financial system and blocking assets which are under the jurisdiction of the United States. In addition, the head of the Department is now prohibited from entering the U.S. territory. Source: Izvestia
