The PSRM rally in the center of Chisinau ended with the unanimous adoption of the resolution, which includes the party’s priorities it intends to implement after the parliamentary elections, including the creation of a presidential republic, membership in the EAEU and the resolution of the Transnistrian problem. Thousands of supporters of the Socialist Party and the President of the Republic Igor Dodon, who is the former party leader, gathered on Sunday in the center of Chisinau to take part in the rally. It was preceded by a protest march – its participants moved in two columns from different parts of the city to the center of the capital with banners “For Neutrality”, “For Free Education”, “For President”, ria.ru reports. “Over the past nine years, Moldova has lost the time needed for long-term development. We need a different leadership, we need other priorities. Today, on the Great National Assembly Square, the Socialist Party announces ten priorities that we undertake to fulfill as part of the new parliament of the country”, said ideological secretary of the PSRM Ion Ceban. Among the priorities voiced by the socialists there is wage increase up to 600 Euros, and pensions up to 300 Euros, retirement age reduction, free medical care and education. Socialists intend to resist the administrative reform, which provides for the elimination of rayons and the creation of counties. The foreign policy will be aimed at rapprochement with Russia and full membership in the EAEU while maintaining relations with the EU. The PSRM stands for the preservation of the country’s neutrality and the closure of NATO representations in the republic. The party intends to achieve a solution to the Transnistrian problem, return the subject “History of Moldova” to the school and ban the movement to unite the republic with Romania. Socialists support traditional values, as well as the creation of a presidential republic. The resolution was adopted unanimously. Parliamentary elections in Moldova are scheduled for February 24, 2019. Source: Point.md
