Putin’s foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov told about the changes in the Russian-Ukrainian relations after the prisoners swap on September 7 and noted the subsequent political effect
“You may see the changes. The atmosphere is changing,” Ushakov told reporters.
He emphasized that the exchange was “first of all, a humanitarian step, but it certainly has a political meaning”. According to Ushakov, “this is a very important step and we hope that it will help to establish normal relations between our countries.”
