The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu presented the results of her visit to the U.S.A. on September 18-19.
“The fourth and fifth part of the IMF assistance program for Moldova was approved, which means the unblocking of $46.1 million. This money will be transferred to the BNM and the Ministry of Finance,” Sandu said, unimedia.info reports.
Maia Sandu mentioned that she had a meeting with the U.S. President Adviser Ivanka Trump, US National Security Council adviser Tim Morrison and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence.
The Prime Minister also said that she had addressed the U.S. authorities, the FBI, the CIA and the U.S. Department of Justice for support, asking for help in investigating a bank theft case. The U.S. authorities will analyze the request of Moldova to investigate the case.
