The leader of the Democratic Party Pavel Filip denies the accusations of creating a range of illegal schemes when PDM was being in power with Vlad Plahotniuc. At present there is no evidence proving it, stated Pavel Filip during a video interview, the ipn.md reports. The PDM head considers that, the ACUM block was feeling very comfortable being in the opposition but once it came into power it couldn’t cope with the responsibility. Its behaviour remains just the same it was while the opposition. Pavel Filip says, that during the five months of the ACUM block ruling there was no evidence furnished proving the existence of those schemes and not a penny of the supposedly through the schemes money out was paid back. As Filip considers, these were only “statements for the public to be enjoyed but without proves they just fall to pieces.” The PDM leader thinks that during democrats’ ruling was absent a considerable financing from international partners and almost all social investments were carried out from the state budget just because in addition to the planned budget money there was a sum of 15 billion lei accumulated. If the supposedly schemes have really existed, then the budget would not be able to accumulate so much money and the investments wouldn’t be carried out. This money was used to create additional working places, a lot of social programmers and projects were launched, the pension system and the wage system were reformed, the former prime minister noted. Pavel Filip added that:” Vlad Plahotniuc was not a blessing or a curse to the PDM, he was just a period in the history of the PDM, a page in the history of this Party to show it was different from any other party”. And the local elections within which a considerable quantity of heads of administration, local or regional counselor-democrats were voted for, showed that PDM is not a one-man party. The head of PDM noted a change within press relations, the political formation shows openness and nobody is prevented from any PRESS communication. Inside the party also democracy reigns. The meetings hold longer as everybody has the possibility to express the point of view. The interview “The View of PDM Chairman Pavel Filip on the Situation in the Moldovan Society at the Turn of Years” is part of the series “Crossroads in the Light of the Ideality of a Good Life in the Homeland”, which was attended by President Igor Dodon and Prime Minister Ion Kiku, as well as leaders of the main parliamentary parties – Andrei Nastase and Maya Sandu.
