Within the frames of a weekly President – Prime Minister – Speaker format Igor Dodon told his colleagues about the results of his visit to Russia. The head of state paid special attention to his meeting with Vladimir Putin, aif.md relates. The sides discussed different issues that present a mutual interest, especially economic ones. “This week, the Russian Federation Government will take an official decision on extension of duty-free import of 5 categories of Moldovan products, and will also consider the possibility of providing a preferential treatment for another 5 items. Also, in the near future another 150-200 companies from the Republic of Moldova will have the opportunity to export their products to Russia”, he said. Another topic of the conversation between Dodon and Putin was a $ 300 million dollars credit, which the Moldovan government had previously asked for meant to implement the infrastructure projects in other country. According to the head of state, a principled decision was already taken, and in January discussions on the agreement will be launched, so that at the beginning of the new session the parliament could ratify it. “The credit terms are almost the same as of other external partners that Moldova had already taken credits from,” he added. The head of state had also discussed the gas issue during the meetings in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Given that Russia and Ukraine agreed to sign the contract, fuel will be delivered to Moldova via the traditional route. Igor Dodon also recalled that the cost of gas from January 1, 2020 will be less than before.
