The protest for the President Igor Dodon resignation, organized by the Unirea bloc, ended on February 23 with an action near the walls of the Russian Embassy in Moldova. Dozens of people with posters in their hands shouted: “The Russian army go away!” People carried placards with the inscriptions: “Dodon’s Euro-Asian Union”, “Organized Famine”, “Russian Military Aggression in Ukraine”, “Deportations to Siberia” and others. Some carried the Romanian and American flags. The protest was attended by the leader of the Union for the Salvation of Bessarabia (USB) Valeriu Munteanu and former education minister Corina Fusu. The protest was timed to confine with the celebration of February 23. Recall, the protest began at the monument to Stefan cel Mare in the center of Chisinau. There, the bloc members and those supporting them for the second week in a row demanded the resignation of President Igor Dodon and the government of Ion Chicu.
